Alexander Aussi possesses over 21 years of experience in healthcare, 18 years in organ transplantation. Alexander has extensive experience in transplant administration, new transplant and VAD program setup, marketing, managed care relations, contract management and management of multi-organ transplant Medicare Acquisition cost centers.

Alexander completed his BSN in 1990 from the Faculty of Medicine at the American University of Beirut (AUB). He finalized his nursing board certification from the University of the State of New York, Albany in 1994, and continued his MBA at Oklahoma City University (OCU) from which he graduated with high honors in December 1995.

Alexander formerly served as Coordinator of Operations at the Oklahoma Transplant Institute at INTEGRIS, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (1994-1999). He was one of the founding Directors of the CHRISTUS Transplant Institute at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Healthcare in San Antonio, Texas (1999-2006) and played an instrumental role in the program’s growth and development.

Alexander made Access to Transplantation his mission in life. While in San Antonio, Alexander Initiated the Only organ transplant program for the CHRISTUS system (26,000 employees). He developed all policies and procedures involved in the operation of a community based comprehensive transplant program, affiliated with a University System. Alexander had director oversight over 22 FTEs and 4 Acquisition cost centers. He received the San Antonio Business Journal shooting star “40 under 40” award in 2005 for his work in South Texas setting the infrastructure for a wide network of transplant outreach clinics evaluating thousands of patients for kidney, pancreas, heart and heart/ lung transplantation within a 300 mile radius from San Antonio.
