Mona Doshi, MBBS, is the Medical Director of Renal Transplant Program at Harper University Transplant Program. She is Associate Professor of Medicine at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. Upon finishing her medical training at Seth G.S Medical College, Mumbai, she moved to United States to join Internal Medicine residency program at Wayne State University. She completed her general nephrology training at University of Chicago and transplant nephrology training at University of Iowa. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Her research interests include evaluating role of biomarkers in early diagnosis of delayed graft function and outcomes in African American live kidney donors. She has presented her work at several national and international meetings. She also received Community Service Award by Gift of Life, Michigan for her efforts to educate all women legislators in the country on kidney transplantation and need for organ donation. She received funding by Gift of Life, Michigan to study medical outcomes in African American live kidney donors and the paper has been accepted by American Journal of Transplantation for publication.
